Wine and Other Beverages

The Great Southern wine region is the largest in mainland Australia, and encompasses the subregions of Albany, Denmark, Frankland River, Mount Barker and Porongurup. It produces 25 percent of Western Australia’s wine output.

Beer, cider and spirits are also produced in the region, including award-winners. International awards for whisky adorn a distillery on the shores of Princess Royal Harbour. Beers brewed in Kinjarling / Albany are destined for export to Europe, North America and Asia.
