Taste WA Trade Mission Promotes Great Southern Food and Beverages

The Taste WA trade mission is set to commence 27 March 2023, bringing 25 international food buyers from more than 10 countries to tour the Great Southern, as well as Perth and the South West region.

The World Indigenous Tourism Summit (WITS), organised by the World Indigenous Tourism Alliance (WINTA), and the WA Indigenous Tourism Operators Council (WAITOC), was held in Perth 13 – 16 March, and was attended by GSDC representatives, and 5 Great Southern operators.

Inaugural Regional Development Collaboration Workshop

The inaugural Regional Development Collaboration Workshop was held in Mandurah from the 14 – 15 February 2023. Bringing together over 70 regional development practitioners from the nine regional development commissions and the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, the purpose of the workshop was to collaborate and work towards the shared vision for regional development.

Five Great Southern Projects to Share $564,500 in RED Grants

Regional Development Minister Alannah MacTiernan visited Albany’s Historic Whaling Station in Kinjarling / Albany to announce the fifth round of Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants for the Great Southern on Friday 9 December 2022. Five Great Southern Projects were funded, sharing a total of $564,500 of State Government Funding.
