Grant application assessments under way

Applications closed on Friday 13 September for the second round of Regional Economic Development (RED) grants.

Assessments are now under way. Applicants will be advised of the outcome and an announcement will be made in due course by Regional Development Minister Alannah MacTiernan.

Information about the second round will posted on the GSDC website as it becomes available.

Nine applicants in the Great Southern shared funding of more than $700,000 in the first round of RED grants, announced in March. The funding supports projects with a total value of $7.4 million.

The State Government allocated $28.8 million over five years to the RED grants program, taking in all nine of Western Australia’s regions. Eligible applicants can apply for RED Grant funding of up to $250,000 for individual projects that promote sustainable jobs, partnerships, productivity, skills and capability, as well as stimulate new investment in industry diversification.
