ASEAN trade visit
International trade delegates explored opportunities offered by Great Southern producers on Wednesday 3 April during a visit hosted by the GSDC. The buyers visit was organised through ASEAN, the Association of South East Asian Nations.
Hospitality and food service buyers from Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam visited Great Southern producers of wagyu beef, pork and strawberries.
The GSDC arranged a mini trade show, pictured above, at the Albany Surf Life Saving Club highlighting Great Southern poultry, abalone, beef, potatoes, dairy, honey and chocolate.
The ASEAN delegates said they gained valuable contacts and found business prospects through the visit. Exhibitors at the trade show said it offered a good opportunity to present their products and to learn more about how to meet the needs of international buyers.
