Grant opportunity opens
Applications are now open through the GSDC for the second round of the State Government’s Regional Economic Development (RED) grants. Eligible organisations, including businesses, can apply for up to $250,000 in RED grant funding for projects that will create long-term economic growth and jobs in the Great Southern.
Regional Development Minister Alannah MacTiernan announced the opening of the second round of RED grants on Thursday 11 July.
Applications for round two of the program close at midnight on Friday 13 September.
Eligible businesses and regional organisations with projects that promote sustainable jobs, partnerships, productivity, skills and capability are invited to apply through the links on the RED grants page.
GSDC Chair Ross Thornton said the program was aimed at creating a real economic impact and job opportunities for the Great Southern.
Round one of the RED grants program in 2018 brought State Government investment of more than $700,000 for projects in the region.
