Governor visits Albany

Governor's group at student housing project

The Honourable Kim Beazley AC, Governor of Western Australia, visited key projects in Albany in November including the GSDC-supported affordable student accommodation projects in Stirling Terrace and Serpentine Road.

The Governor’s itinerary also included a tour of the Albany Multi Species Mollusc Hatchery, the UWA Albany Centre and the National Anzac Centre.

On Thursday 7 November, the Governor made an address at the Cross and Bell Ceremony for the Combined Schools Centenary Commemoration of Armistice at the Anzac Peace Park, to mark the imminent 100th anniversary of Armistice Day.
