Denmark Festival of Voice
GSDC Bulletin 50
More than 90 acts and 28 workshops kept audiences enthralled at the 2018 Denmark Festival of Voice on the June long weekend. Denmark Festival of Voice is a Denmark Arts project, and is supported by State Government funding of $50,000 over two years through the GSDC.
The event attracted visitors to the Great Southern and was well attended by regional residents.
Noongar voices featured strongly this year’s program, which focused on Australian acts and acts that would appeal to a younger audience.
The festival also provided professional development opportunities for artists and residents through workshops, collaboration and networking. Workshop participants had the chance to improve their skills and learn from the festival’s experienced performers.
