Funding strategically important projects is a significant activity of the GSDC, and is informed by the Great Southern Regional Investment Blueprint. A range of opportunities through the RGS and CCF has enabled community groups and organisations to bring about positive projects for the Great Southern.

A total of $1,536,667 was allocated to the GSDC for the 2017 round of the Great Southern Regional Grants Scheme. The funding, made possible by the State Government's Royalties for Regions program, is for community, public and not-for-profit organisations seeking grants from $50,001 to $300,000.

Smaller grants, up to $50,000, are allocated through the Community Chest Fund (CCF), which will provide a further $555,556 of Royalties for Regions funds.

GSDC funding activities help to ensure that the region gains the maximum benefits from other potential sources of funds, whether public or private. Visit the Resources page to find further information that might help with grants and funding.
