Hockey players and fans know the score when they play at the Albany hockey turf, thanks to a new $64,000 digital scoreboard. The Lower Great Southern Hockey Association secured $10,730 of State Government funding through the GSDC for the 2.9m by 1.9m LED display, which was also supported by $15,000 sponsorship from Retravision Albany.

Supporters of the digital scoreboard project looked over the installation recently.

Players and spectators at the Centennial Park facility gain the immediate benefits of the scoreboard but it will enable the association to seek opportunities to host State League, Australian Hockey League and international fixtures.
