Timber Industry Road Evaluation Strategy
The Timber Industry Road Evaluation Strategy (TIRES) group works to secure funding that will ensure the regional road system is adequate for the timber transport task. The GSDC has provided executive support to TIRES and, with Main Roads Western Australia, has also coordinated the planning process.
During 2008/09 GSDC provided the resources to allow TIRES to update its five-year regional transport plan which will be used to prioritise timber road expenditure.
