Albany Entertainment Centre
The Albany Entertainment Centre (AEC) is located within the Albany Waterfront project, and will include a 620-seat auditorium, rehearsal space, café, convention/corporate function space and an observation platform. The GSDC has management responsibility for the project budget and is a member of the AEC Project Control Group, along with the City of Albany and Building Management and Works, which is the project manager.
In July 2008 the AEC construction contract was awarded to Doric Constructions and work on the project started immediately. The AEC is expected to be ready to hand over to the City of Albany by the end of 2010.
